Fortnite not launching after update 06-19-2018, 05:18 am each time i launch the game it closes almost immediately, and sends me back to the dashboard this is the second time this has occurred, last time is after an update finished downloading and a re-install fixed the problem and it is the same this time, a re-install would probably work. They cannot launch any game currently. i am not in the program, my games including this one are fine. yeah, i'm in the program but i heard its a game authentication server issue: start fortnite. if it doesn't prompt for an update, try going into games and apps to see if it needs an update..
Been having trouble these past few days with fortnite not launching. i can click on the fortnite launch game on the home screen, in the xbox store and even have a friend invite me but after 5 seconds it always goes back to the home screen.. The epic games team have posted an explanation for why the fortnite servers are still down and when they expect them to be back up..
